Thankful!

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. We had a great meal with the Family and it couldn't be better. I have a long list of things I am Thankful for....but here are a few:

*my amazing husband...he is patient, funny, smart, good-looking. He helps me cook and clean without complaining and he is an awesome dad.
*my kids...I have never been so challenged at anything in my life....but never so rewarded either.
*my house
*my job....my boss rocks...she is so great to work with, I don't think that it could be better.
*my health...this is something I think of just about everyday as so many terrible things could go wrong at any minute.
*my family...it is great to live near everyone...the love and support that my family offers is irreplaceable.
*our country...I marvel at how many people sacrifice themselves on behalf of our country and yet people complain! What if that was your dad, brother or son that died for his country?!?!?
*my friends...I would be mighty lonely without my lunch buddies, phone buddies and play buddies..they just make life more fun.

Like I said, just a glimpse but I am thankful non the less.

Cookies

What happens when you try to make sugar cookies and decorate them with a naughty 18 month old running a muck......you will do whatever it takes to keep his little hands out of the dough and frosting....

Like let him lick the frosting off the mixer. He couldn't believe that I was really letting him do that.

Sweet girl...she is a great baker.
Ohh, and why not go for the cookie dough mixers. He was supposed to share with Leila, but he wasn't about to let it out of his hands.

October Fun- Possibly the longest post ever

Wow, October sure was a busy month. I think that I am still recovering. We had a lot of fun though....

first off was Leila's Halloween Costume Birthday Bash...
Indiana Jones and his dad...Professor Henry Jones
The Cassell's- Pro Golfer, Witch and cute little Mason the Monkey.
Andie was Tinkerbell and Jill was a witch.
Cydnee and Olivia
This picture cracks me up...Leila started balling when we sang "Happy Birthday" to her, and some naughty little person is grabbing the piggies nipple!
Bringing out the birthday cake.
Most of the cute kiddos.
Joyce and T...Joyce's witch costume was great!
My dad...the nerd and my mom...the cat.
Anna..the witch and Myranda...the boxer.
Nana...the cat and Grandma..the Fairy Godmother
The Fauver's...Brian and I were pigs (look at what Isaac is grabbing), Leila was a ballerina and Isaac was a sports fanatic.

We also went to Thanksgiving Point to the Cornbelly's Maze. We didn't do the maze, because that sounds terrible with a bunch of kids...but we had fun playing on everything else.
They had a section where the kids could dress up as princess and such and dance on stage. Leila picked out a Belle dress.
Isaac just loved running all over the place.
Cinderella's Carriage.
Leila dancing the night away on stage.

Isaac, not looking too thrilled as we rode the wagon ride. He probably just didn't want to sit still.

The fam on the wagon ride.
Leila and the Pumpkin Princess. What a title!!

We also met up with Tawnya and the girls and went to see the witches at Gardner Village.

Isaac was determined to move this pumpkin around.
The girls thought this was the funniest witch. She was sitting on a potty. Isaac was so sure of it all. He kept a close eye on all the witches.
The girls all got their faces painted. They look like they could all be sisters.
Isaac just waiting on the girls. Get used to it buddy. I have a feeling you will be doing it a lot.
All the kids...pretty much impossible to get them all to look at the camera at the same time, let alone have them all smiling at the same time.

We also had fun pumpkin carving with The Moyes. This was Leila's first time and she was right beside Brian the entire time.

The Moyes...it is nearly impossible for Anna to just smile at the camera, she loves making funny faces.
Gotta love the crack..we were cracking up (no pun intended :-)
The boys hard at work.
The Fauver's with their finished creation.
The finished product. They both looked great.
The crazy carving teams.

Leila had a Halloween party at school. These are her friends Brooklyn (I mean tinkerbell) and Anna (the witch).
Leila the Ballerina...she loved her costume this year!

Last, but not least we went Tick-or-Treating on Halloween. Isaac couldn't figure out why kids were running in every direction and Leila had it down pat.

Isaac the monkey, or shall I say Curious George.

Not a great picture, but the kids rode from house to house in the wagon...lazy little stinks.
