Our Outings

We have been out on several outings since Isaac's arrival. I have been feeling really good and the weather has been great, so we haven't been stuck inside.

We have been:
On 3 picnics
to the fountains at Gateway
the park several times
had a BBQ with Brian's ATL buddies
Rollerbladed (that kicked my butt, I am so out of shape)

I need to take more pictures while we are out...I'll try to be better.

Leila would hold Isaac all day long if I let her. She is such a sweet sister to him. She is always laying next to him, hugging him and giving him kisses when she leaves his side. It is so sweet.

This is at the fountains at Gateway. We met the Lewis's and Butler's there. The kids weren't too brave at the beginning, but they thought is was great even if they weren't running through the water.

Mimi just happened to be visiting when we had Isaac. She was one of our first visitors (non-family) in the hospital and she lives in Atlanta. Way to go Mimi!!!

He is getting big

Well, we are having a great time with Isaac. He is such a great baby, we really couldn't ask for more. Leila is very loving and patient. She hasn't been upset/ jealous about him at all.
We are keeping our fingers crossed that both Isaac and Leila's good temperament are not temporary.

I was trying to take his picture for his announcement, he wasn't having it.

Introducing...Isaac Ray Fauver

Our little Isaac was born on Tuesday, June 10th at 7:02 am.

He weighed 6 lbs. 10 oz. and was 19.5 inches long.

I started contracting about 10:30 pm Monday night, but they were pretty irregular, so I tried to go to sleep. I couldn't sleep so at 2:30 am we decided to go to the hospital and either have the baby or be sent home with some pain/ sleeping meds. When we I got to the hospital I was dilated to a 5 and the contractions were coming faster and harder by the minute.
It took them 8...yes 8 tries to get the IV in (they actually ended up calling the anesthesiologist in to do it). They had to have the IV in before they could give me my epidural. So, after 2 more hours of intense pain, I finally received the epidural. At that point I was dilated to an 8. At 6:55 am I started to push, and he was born at 7:02.
All in all the labor was tough, but the delivery was fast!!!

We are all doing well adjusting to life with the 4 of us.

The Little Man's Room

I have to start off by giving a HUGE thanks to my friend Emily. She helped me (okay she did most of it) with the bedding. The frustrating thing, is the little part that she left for me to do on my own was hell!!!
I had terrible luck finding a sewing machine that would work consistently for me. I literally tried 3 different machines!!
I guess that I just don't have the sewing gene in me. Ohh well, it turned out really cute and I am so grateful for Emily for all her time and help.

Cowboy is the theme, I think it is pretty cute.

I painted the lettering below. I really loved how it turned out.

Guitar not included, this is where Brian practices for the time being.

Getting ready

Leila is very excited for Isaac to arrive. We were impressed that she seemed to understand the whole thing so well. Until one day when she told us that Baby Isaac was going to be pretend like her baby Emma (her doll). Yikes...Hopefully she'll be a bit more gentle with Isaac then she is with Baby Emma.
She loved helping Brian get the swing, bouncer and car seat ready to go.

Baby ohh baby

No, I have not had the baby yet...but we are thinking that it is going to be any day. My contracts are getting stronger, doctors says I am making good progress and overall my body just feels ready.
I was up from 11:00 pm until 3:30 am on Tuesday night with contractions every 3-7 minutes. They were killing me. I didn't go to the hospital though because they were so irregular and I didn't want to be sent home. Sure enough about 3:30 am they let up and I was able to sleep 3 whole hours!!!
I am getting very nervous/ anxious to meet this little one and hopefully it will be sooner then later.

PS- If I haven't had him by June 16th the doctor will induce me, so either way, I only have a week and a half left. Yipee!!

I will post pictures of his cute room soon.
