Over UEA weekend Brian, Leila and I took Brian's parents to Seattle and Canada as a "thank you" for all the do for us (let us live rent-free, watch our kids every morning while I work, etc). Brian and Suzy are big gardeners and had never been to Victoria, BC home of the AMAZING Butchart Gardens.
We left Isaac at home with my very pregnant sister-in-law and headed out for 5 days. We all missed Isaac a lot, but were very grateful to be able to leave him with someone we completely trust (Thanks Tawn).
The trip went surprisingly well, we only had a few minor mishaps. The first being the first night we were there, we went to bed about 10:20ish, Leila woke up at midnight crying and didn't stop until 3:30am!! She was first complaining about her stomach hurting, then her ear hurting and then she just told us that she didn't know why she was crying and that she couldn't stop. It was pretty sad. To top it off, we had to be at the ferry terminal, that took us to Victoria, by 7:00 am. Needless to say, we were very tired.
Yes, don't we look exhausted ?!?!
The rest of the trip was great. We loved Victoria so much that we extended our stay there and spent the whole trip in BC. We want to move to Victoria, so if any of you want to move to the most beautiful/ friendly place in the world with us, just let us know.
I know I look like a total dork with this hat, but I really do like it. I'll try to take a better picture next time.We went to this old castle. Brian loved this fireplace, maybe one day babe!
Ohh yes, I did darken my hair.
At the gardens, in the Japanese area.
This was at the garden too, simply amazing.
Yes, Brian's eyes are closed. Love him to death, but it is nearly impossible to get a picture of him with his eyes opened!!!
Leila loved the ducks in front of our hotel in Victoria. The "duck keeper" is known throughout the country, he raises these ducks from little eggs. They follow him everywhere!
I meant to get a picture of Leila with this chandler as it was "the most beautiful light she had ever seen."
That is the Parliament building in the background.
Brian and Leila loved this tree in front of The Empress.Another cool tree!

P-A-R-T-Y
We had a great party for Leila's birthday. She really wanted to do a costume/ Halloween party. We did all we could to make our house "spooky" at her request. We had a great time!
Isn't her Cinderella cake amazing. Check out this link if you are interested in ordering a cake from Stephanie: http://stephscakecreations.blogspot.com/
Leila really wanted Brian to be a bee and Isaac was a dalmation.
Mimi and Grandma
Cowboy Chaz and Cowgirl Tawn (I did you all a service by only taking a picture of Chaz from the waist up as he had some VERY tight Wranglers on.) Too funny!!
Sophie (the frog), Colin, very preggers Meric and Jamie
Jill and Kevan- loved this idea.
Shaun and Anna (cute little bee)
Lelia (Cinderella), Chloe the cute cheerleader and Savannah (Sleeping Beauty)
Half of the kiddos. Cute Ella was a peacock and Bennie was a Star Wars guy. (Sorry I don't know my Star Wars characters)
Cowboy Jake and Cowgirl Debby (Jake looked like he really belongs on the range.)
Hippies Shaun and Myranda
Popeye, Olive Oil and Spinach - once again Emily is SO creative. I love Mylee's costume!

TAG- Six insignificant things about me....
1. I am obsessed with checking www.utahrealestate.com and craigslist multiple times a day.
2. I try to never buy anything over $10.00 for the kids. I try to keep that in mind when buying things for myself too.
3. I have to eat a treat after EVERY lunch and dinner. Maybe that is why I can't get rid of these last 5 pounds!!!!
4. I wake up at least once at night to check on the kids. I make sure Leila is under her covers and warm and I make sure Isaac is warm enough and still breathing.
5. Every night before I go to bed I tell myself that tomorrow will be the day that I start to exercise, hasn't happened yet!!
6. I love to plan trips, but get really stressed out to actually go on them.
I tag.....Emily M., Jill A. and Myranda.

Happy Birthday to my favorite GIRL!!
Well, Leila turned 3 on Thursday. I am just now getting around to post because we were having internet problems and we were getting ready for our big birthday/ Halloween bash (pictures from that to come soon).
I love my little girl. She is so sweet and smart. Here are a few of my favorite things about her:
*She loves to sing and is a great singer. She will belt out a tune basically whenever asked.
*She loves her brother. She calls him "handsome" and is always giving him hugs.
*She isn't naughty (for the most part) and listens really well.
*She is friendly to her little friends.
*She enjoys "snuggle-fests" as much as I do.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY LEILA!!!

My little cheerleader
Hillcrest was doing a little cheerleading clinic so we signed up Leila. She did awesome, I was so proud. Here are some cute pics....She is just getting ready to do a kick...
Not sure what is going on here...
This is how she lands her "toe touch"
I wish this was a better picture of her face. This is part of the dance where she is supposed to point out in the crowd and shake her booty... (notice her Dora water bottle behind her...according to Leila this was "quite a workout!")
