Samantha goes under the knife

I had my first surgery the end of August. I had a Coccygectomy....basically I had my tailbone removed. I have had a pain in my butt since high school...and no it isn't my husband or children, hahaha. I had several cheerleading accidents and a few since high school that just exastebated the situation, so I had my tailbone removed. The verdict is still out as to whether the surgery will be successful, but I am hoping for pain-free living.

Just before they took me back to the OR.....

After the surgery, recovering. I had to stay overnight in the hospital, but the kids came to visit.

Isaac's off to preschool

Isaac started his first year of preschool this year and was very excited to go. He loves going with Bauer and Mylee and getting out of the house.

I am not sure what the #1 is for...maybe he knows that he is numero uno!

The girls had to get in on the picture taking action and come out to support their bro.

Who Needs a Lemonade Stand When You Have.....

A sewing thread stand??
My kids are out front selling used tread....Leila is yelling "come get thread at the Fauver's" and "come to the Fauver's and get everything you want"

Leila wants to make some money. The trouble is #1- no one is even driving by the house and #2- even if they did they probably don't want to buy thread.

One car almost stopped and then Isaac and Leila both got so nervous they almost ran away!

Hi Ho, Hi Ho it's Off to Kindergarten We Go

Leila had her first day of kindergarten today. Her teacher is Mrs. Bailey and she couldn't get sweeter. When Leila went for her kindergarten testing last week we were leaving and Mrs. Bailey said...."Leila, I am not going to see you for 4 days, can I please have a hug?" Leila just lit up.

When I asked Leila if she was nervous she said she was a little. When I asked her why she said, "because it is everyday and I will be gone for so long."

All morning she kept asking if it was time to go, she wanted to eat lunch in the car to be sure we weren't late...

She picked out her backpack and was excited that it was a bag and not a backpack.

Isaac and Claire are sure going to miss having her home during the day...
Leila and her friend Lily posing with the mascot the Silver Mesa Eagle.
McKayla, Brooklyn, Jada, Leila and Brayden ready to go.
Waving goodbye as they get ready to go into their classroom.

Anyone need a wasp killer???

Because this bad boy can kill 'em if you do.

We had a massive wasp nest above that window so Brian decided to take them out the manly way...in a paintball mask. I am still laughing about it when I think of it!

Just keep swimming, just keep swimming

This summer was fun-filled with swimming lessons. We managed to pretty much fit them in all summer. The kids did a great job and love being in the water. At the beginning of the summer Isaac wouldn't put his head under water and now he can jump in and kind of swim to you. Leila progressed great in learning the correct way to do a number of strokes.

Claire just hung out with me and put everyones shoes on...

Isaac on the kick board...

Drying off after their last day of swimming lessons...

It is true...I had a birthday....

And turned 30! I had a great day, week actually. The kids sang Happy Birthday to me everyday. I was quite fun.

On Sunday we went with my family up the canyons for a picnic dinner. The weather was beautiful, the mountains were beautiful and we had a lot of fun.

Isaac got hurt, so he and Brian hung out in the car for a bit.

Isaac taking a picture of himself.
I would love to get a cute picture of Claire and I but apparently it isn't destined to happen just yet.

Tawn and I

These cousins really love each other and have a great time together.

My dad and I have birthdays just 3 days apart so we always get to celebrate together.

My dad and I were trying to take a picture together and Claire and Isaac ran in to get in the pic...to bad they didn't look at the camera and smile too.

On Monday we had a group dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. I had a lot of fun and hope everyone else did too.

I am so lucky to have such great friends...

Delish cheesecake!
